Expert IT Analyst - Data Engineering
We are looking for an experienced IT Analyst / Analytics Engineer to join a data engineering project within a large international organization in the financial sector.
This role combines hands-on data engineering and analytics with requirements analysis. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, and engineers to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
Gather, clarify, and document functional and non-functional requirements,
Translate business needs into clear implementation specifications,
Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, and test engineers,
Design and develop data models, mappings, and data-intensive solutions,
Design and support near real-time data pipelines,
Perform quantitative analysis on complex and distributed datasets,
Identify data-related issues, explain their business impact, and recommend solutions,
Contribute to solution design, maintainability, and application architecture,
Take ownership of requirements documentation, including use cases,
Promote data quality, analytical best practices, and continuous improvement across teams.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in IT/data-related roles,
Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt,
Very good knowledge of SQL, including experience with Snowflake SQL and MS SQL,
Experience in data modeling, data mapping, and data pipelines,
Experience in gathering and translating business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications,
Ability to combine technical data expertise with a strong understanding of business needs,
Understanding of modern software architecture concepts such as DDD, event sourcing, and microservices,
Experience or practical familiarity with AI/LLM-based tools such as Copilot or agentic solutions,
Previous experience in banking or financial services,
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
