Detailed description of work task to be carried out
We're looking for an engineer to join the team building our Tech ModernisationFramework. The framework uses AI to analyse legacy code repositories andrewrite them onto our modern, platform-approved technology stacks. You'lldesign and improve the agent workflows, prompts and tooling that drive thesemigrations, and connect them to our CI/CD and deployment platform (Tekton,ArgoCD, Ansible).
The work combines software engineering, platform automation and applied AI.You'll work hands-on with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and theMaister project, using Anthropic and other LLM providers. The framework is deliberately vendor-agnostic, so we value people who understand the underlying concepts more than people tied to one product. You'll work closely with application teams to turn real migration cases into repeatable, reliable automation.

- Solid software engineering basics: Git, code review, testing, clean andmaintainable code
- Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and containerised environments (Docker,Kubernetes basics)
- Hands-on experience with, or strong interest in, LLMs and AI-assisteddevelopment (prompting, agents, tool use)
- Able to read and understand code in several languages, including legacy code(e.g. Java)
- Analytical, structured approach to problem-solving, comfortable withambiguity and experimentation
- Good communication skills in English and a collaborative attitude
Nice-to-have knowledge and experience
- Experience with Tekton, ArgoCD or other GitOps/pipeline tools
- Ansible or other infrastructure-as-code tools

- Background in legacy modernisation, code migration or large-scalerefactoring
- Familiarity with Java/Spring, front-end stacks, or other target technologies
- Experience working in a regulated or enterprise environment (e.g. banking)
