Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Canada, Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries.\nPosition\nJr. Process Control Engineer (EIT), Nunavut\nLocation and Reporting Structure\nReporting to the Supervisor, Instrumentation, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.\nResponsibilities\nProgram, maintain, and optimize the Emerson DeltaV DCS control system and integrated controllers.\nRegularly review and tune control loop performance to enhance operational efficiency.\nIdentify and implement opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.\nAnalyze and rationalize alarms to resolve system issues and improve performances.\nAdminister, maintain, update, and back up servers and workstations associated with the control system.\nDevelop custom automated reports to extract historian data for operations and maintenance needs.\nSupport the integration of new mineral processing equipment into the control system.\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, environmental policies, regulations, and site standards in all activities.\nFoster effective and collaborative relationships with employees, contractors, and consultants to achieve company objectives.\nDesired Competencies and Requirements\nTwo (2) years of experience in process control, preferably in gold or mineral processing plants, with experience in mineral processing equipment controls such as crushers and mills.\nExperience in Emerson DeltaV logic configuration, graphics and Emerson DeltaV Implementation 1 & 2, alarm management and rationalization is a strong asset.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical or Process Engineering.\nProficiency in programming languages such as Python, VBA, as well as experience with function block, structured text, ladder.\nAbility to demonstrate advanced control and linearization techniques; Working knowledge of MPC control is an asset.\nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to mining and minerals processing operations.\nCompensation and Benefits\nFor informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $128,154.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $46.50 and overtime rate of $69.75) in a work year.\nB2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive compensation package, including salary commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills, plus a group benefits package for employees and their dependents.\nApplication and Contact Information\nKitikmeot Inuit, Nunavut Inuit, and Residents receive priority hiring consideration, if one these categories applies, please state it after the reference number in the subject line.
