Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.\nPosition\nPlanning Supervisor, Nunavut\nLocation and Reporting Structure\nReporting to the Superintendent, Planning & Optimization, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and implement short-term and long-term maintenance schedules for heavy equipment, machinery, and facilities.\nCreate maintenance forecast, coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.\nOversee short- and long-term maintenance plans and provide guidance to team members (Maintenance Planners, Tradespeople, Contractors) as necessary.\nEnsure the availability of spare parts, tools, and materials for scheduled maintenance tasks. Optimize the allocation of resources, including workforce, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.\nMonitor equipment performance and maintenance history to optimize service intervals. Review work orders and make recommendations.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance work, including reports and compliance documentation.\nIdentify and recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and reduce costs.\nDevelop a tracking program for long-term planning, budgeting, parts on order and available resources.\nEnsure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.\nDesired Competencies and Requirements\nFive (5) years of maintenance planning experience with two (2) years of previous supervisory experience; preference will be given to those with experience working in a remote site with limited access to resources.\nPost-secondary diploma in management, mechanical technologist or a journeyperson certification in a relevant parts, equipment or maintenance trades.\nEnrollment in and progression towards the completion of the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) designation is considered an asset.\nDemonstrated proficiency in maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Pronto, CMMS).\nCompensation and Benefits\nFor informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $162,000.00\nB2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive compensation package, including salary commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills, plus a group benefits package for employees and their dependents.\nApplication and Contact Information\nKitikmeot Inuit, Nunavut Inuit, and Residents receive priority hiring consideration, if one these categories applies, please state it after the reference number in the subject line.
