Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Canada, Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries.\nPosition\nSenior Accounts Payable Clerk\nIntroduction\nReporting directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and taking direction from other managers and supervisors within the Company, this role, along with the other Senior Accounts Payable Clerk, is responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable (AP) functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the overall AP cycle and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.\nLocation\nThis is a full-time position based at B2Gold’s Corporate Office in Vancouver, Canada. The role follows our hybrid work model of four days in-office and one day remote each week.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nPrepare weekly payment run:\nReview the aged AP list and compile supporting documents for outstanding items,\nIdentify the payment method of each invoice on the aged list for the Treasury department,\nObtain Treasury department’s approval for payment processing,\nProcess EFT, ACH, wire payments and print cheques,\nObtain EFT, ACH and wire approvals and signatures on cheques, and\nSend payment confirmations as required;\nReview and approve new and modified vendor cards;\nReview invoices, journal entries, and credit memos entered by AP clerks;\nActively manage, process and review employee credit card statements and expense reports entered by AP clerks;\nPrepare payroll payment summary report and wire payments;\nReview payroll upload for accuracy prior to loading into the accounting system;\nPrepare bank deposit and coordinate with members of the Accounting team for recording in the system;\nProcess urgent payments, cash calls and other bank transfers as needed;\nClearing processed payments in the Accounting system;\nSet up and maintenance of wire transfer templates for each bank;\nActively manage accounts payable inbox and follow up with vendors and company departments as required;\nPrepare monthly invoices to subsidiaries;\nMaintain a log of accounts receivable invoices; and,\nPerform other duties as required in support of corporate and site objectives.\nRequirements:\nPost-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or similar field from an accredited university or college;\nMinimum 3-5 years of progressive experience of full cycle AP experience with multicurrency and project costing focused, including payments (wires, EFT, ACH, etc.);\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel;\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders;\nAbility to work with different cultures across different time zones;\nExcellent interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively in a team environment but also available to work independently with minimum supervision;\nFlexible, adaptable and ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment; and,\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAdditional Desired Qualifications:\nPrior experience in the mining industry is preferred; and,\nExperience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (familiarity with multicurrency & intercompany functions) is considered an asset.\nJob Demands/Physical Requirements:\nThis position is based at B2Gold’s corporate office in Vancouver, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement of four days on site and one day working from home;\nMust be able to lift box weighing at least 20 lbs.\nCompensation\nB2Gold prioritizes local employment, supports empowerment initiatives and continuously works towards a people profile that matches the demographics of the respective national settings in which we operate, while appreciating our inclusive culture that attracts talent from around the world.
