Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery teams supporting ServiceNow platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies, driving Agile best practices, removing impediments, and ensuring the successful delivery of ServiceNow solutions. This role serves as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, helping teams maximize productivity while fostering collaboration among developers, stakeholders, customers, and business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams delivering ServiceNow solutions and enhancements.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Monitor team performance and effectiveness, helping teams achieve sprint goals and maintain a high level of delivery quality.
- Identify and remove impediments that may impact team productivity or project success.
- Act as a neutral facilitator to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration among developers, stakeholders, customers, and business partners.
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
- Promote transparency through Agile metrics, sprint reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Support release planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation activities.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to increase team velocity, quality, and predictability.
- Ensure Agile and Scrum processes are consistently followed across ServiceNow development efforts.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience supporting or delivering projects on the ServiceNow platform.
- Demonstrated experience usingGitLab for source code management, version control, and collaborative software development.
- Proven experience overseeing Agile processes and ensuring team effectiveness according to Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor Agile teams to improve performance and maturity.
- Experience facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Scrum principles, and servant leadership practices.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow Agile Development.
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM), including asset lifecycle management, asset tracking, and ITAM module configuration and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM), including asset lifecycle management, hardware and software inventory tracking, and license compliance.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow Agile Development (SAD) or ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
- Experience working in federal government, healthcare, or highly regulated environments.
- SAFe Agile experience preferred.
Security Clearance:
- US Citizen able to obtain a Public Trust.
