If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!\nRole Purpose\nBabble is seeking a Data Governance Executive to support the delivery of its Data Strategy and Data Governance Framework. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, system owners, data stewards, and the wider Data Team to improve data quality, strengthen data ownership, and ensure that data is managed consistently across the organisation.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in Data Governance, Data Management, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Quality. The role Supports all areas of data governance.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nData Governance\nSupport the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Babble's Data Governance Framework.\n\nAssist with the creation, maintenance, and communication of data policies, standards, procedures, and governance documentation.\n\nCoordinate Data Working Group activities, including agendas, meeting notes, actions, and follow-ups.\n\nMaintain governance artefacts including data glossaries, data dictionaries, ownership registers, and governance scorecards.\n\nSupport the rollout of governance initiatives across business functions\n\nData Quality\nSupport the development of automation to monitor and analyse data quality metrics and dashboards.\n\nInvestigate and track data quality issues to resolution.\n\nAssist with root-cause analysis of data quality problems.\n\nSupport the development and documentation of business rules and data quality controls.\n\nCoordinate data cleansing and remediation activities with business stakeholders.\n\nMaster Data Management (MDM)\nSupport customer, supplier, product, and reference data governance initiatives.\n\nAssist with duplicate management, golden record maintenance, and data standardisation activities.\n\nHelp document, and improve, master data processes and controls.\n\nWork with system owners and data stewards to improve data consistency across systems.\n\nData Ownership & Stewardship\nSupport Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians and Data Champions in fulfilling their responsibilities.\n\nMaintain ownership matrices and governance records.\n\nMonitor progress of agreed governance actions and escalate risks where appropriate.\n\nAssist business teams in understanding their accountability for data quality and compliance.\n\nTraining & Adoption\nHelp develop and deliver data governance awareness training.\n\nPromote data literacy and best practice across the organisation.\n\nCreate guidance materials, presentations, process documentation and communications.\n\nSupport onboarding activities related to data ownership and stewardship.\n\n Essential\n1-3 years' experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Business Analysis, Data Administration, CRM Administration, or a related role.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.\n\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nExperience creating process documentation and business reports.\n\nStrong attention to detail.\n\nDesirable\nExperience with Salesforce.\n\nExperience with Snowflake.\n\nUnderstanding of Master Data Management principles.\n\nUnderstanding of GDPR and information governance.\n\nFamiliarity with DAMA Data Management principles.\n\nPersonal Attributes\nPassionate about data and continuous improvement.\n\nHighly organised and proactive.\n\nConfident engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.\n\nCurious and willing to challenge inefficient processes.\n\nStrong sense of accountability and ownership.\n\nComfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.\n\nWORKING CONTEXT\nThe team\nReports to the SVP of Data & Technology (UK-based), with a dotted line to the Head of PMO.\n\nWorks closely with UK-based capability leads who own the technical direction of data and technology in their respective domains.\n\nLine manages the Kosovo-based delivery squad - a mix of data engineering, data quality, governance, and systems development capability.\n\nThe business\nBabble is a UK cloud technology and communications provider serving SME and mid-market customers.
