Working alongside experienced welding and quality professionals, you'll help maintain the standards, processes and compliance requirements that underpin critical defence programmes.\nDay-to-day, you’ll have an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in quality engineering, welding assurance and continuous improvement. You'll gain exposure to highly regulated engineering activities, develop specialist technical knowledge and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on national defence and operational capability.\nSupporting the implementation and maintenance of quality management system procedures and documentation.\nAssisting with surveillance activities, compliance reviews and quality audits across engineering operations.\nMonitoring corrective and preventive actions and supporting their effective close-out.\nReviewing quality records, engineering documentation and inspection data to ensure compliance requirements are met.\nAnalysing quality performance data and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis role is full time, 35, per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.\nEssential experience of the Assistant QAQC Engineer\nExperience using quality management systems and controlled documentation processes.\nUnderstanding of quality assurance, quality control and compliance requirements within an engineering environment.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.\nExperience analysing information and identifying opportunities for process improvement.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nQualifications for the Assistant QAQC Engineer\nCraft Apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification in a fabrication, welding or engineering discipline, or equivalent qualifications and experience.\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
