Working within a highly skilled maintenance team, you'll help ensure aircraft remain safe, airworthy and available when needed. Working closely with the Avionics Supervisor and Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in supporting maintenance plans, achieving operational milestones and maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and compliance.\nDay-to-day, you’ll be required to:\nCarry out planned line and base maintenance activities on rotary aircraft and avionics systems.\nRectify deferred and carry-forward defects in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and the Minimum Equipment List.\nDiagnose, troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems to maintain aircraft availability and airworthiness.\nEnsure serviceable tools, equipment, materials and airworthiness data are available to support maintenance activities.\nLiaise professionally with colleagues and customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.\n\nThis role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport).\nEssential experience of the Avionics Engineer:\nExperience maintaining and repairing aircraft avionics systems within a line or base maintenance environment.\nProven fault-finding and rectification experience on avionics and electrical systems.\nKnowledge of aviation maintenance procedures, tooling control and ground support equipment.\nUnderstanding of Safety Management Systems and aviation flight safety principles.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to complete technical documentation accurately.\nQualifications for the Avionics Engineer:\nMust hold a valid CAA part 66 B2 AML (preferred with EC- 135 and or H-145 type ratings).\nBasic IT Skills\nValid UK driving license.\nLine/Base Avionic Maintenance experience\nRotary experience \nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
