Additionally, colleagues can contribute directly to a TFSA\nFlexibility in How We Work\nWe offer an agile workplace for several positions\nCompetitive annual vacation time off and additional time off during our holiday closure\nGrowth and recognition\nA comprehensive colleague recognition program and bonus program\nTraining and support for professional development and professional membership dues\nWe encourage you to learn more about Babcock Canada by exploring our website: babcockcanada.com.\nDescription\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop detailed designs, engineering drawings, technical documentation, and engineering changes in support of Victoria Class Submarine combat subsystems.\nPerform Combat Systems engineering activities in accordance with the Global Engineering Framework and applicable project requirements.\nSupport the design, integration, verification, and sustainment of combat subsystems within the Victoria Class Submarine.\nAnalyze system architectures and contribute to the identification and development of capability upgrades, integration opportunities, and technical solutions.\nSupport System Engineers and other senior technical staff in the successful delivery of Combat Systems emergent-work projects.\nApply applicable defence standards, military specifications, engineering standards, and technical guidance to the design and sustainment of submarine systems.\nIdentify and assess safety, health, and environmental hazards, and contribute to the development and implementation of effective control measures.\nDevelop and apply knowledge of Victoria Class Submarine Combat Systems to support engineering sustainment activities.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, project management, production, and customer teams to deliver assigned work safely, on schedule, and to the required level of quality.\nParticipate in design reviews, technical investigations, testing, and verification activities under the direction of senior engineering personnel.\nPrepare clear and accurate technical reports, assessments, calculations, and other engineering deliverables.\nDevelop professional engineering competencies through progressively responsible work, mentoring, and supervision by licensed Professional Engineers.\nThe ideal candidate brings:\nA bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.\nCurrent Engineer-in-Training registration, or eligibility for registration, with the applicable provincial engineering regulator.\nFoundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical safety, technical analysis, and engineering design.\nThe ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, standards, and engineering documentation.\nStrong analytical skills and a practical, methodical approach to investigating and resolving technical problems.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing formal reports and presenting technical information.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn specialized engineering tools and systems.\nThe ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned priorities, and seek appropriate technical guidance.\nRelevant co-op, internship, technologist, or early-career engineering experience is considered an asset.\nExposure to naval platforms, Combat Systems, defence programs, shipyards, or marine engineering environments is considered an asset.\nEligible for a Canadian Secret Security Clearance, Controlled Goods, and ITAR.\nFooter\nBabcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
