This is a rewarding opportunity to use your technical expertise to make a real difference, supporting national security, enhancing operational readiness, and growing your own career in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.\nYou’ll be part of our Land Training business unit, supporting the Electro Mechanical Training Contract (EMTC.) Your work will directly contribute to Babcock’s reputation for excellence in defence education and the long-term capability of the armed forces.\nDay-to-day you’ll be:\nPreparing and delivering electrical training sessions using modern teaching methods and technologies\nAssessing trainee progress through written and practical evaluations\nMonitoring trainee development and providing feedback, support, and remedial instruction\nEnsuring safety, compliance, and equipment accountability within the training environment\nMaintaining and updating course materials to reflect current equipment and standards\nThe role is based onsite at MOD Lyneham, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.\nEssential experience of the Electrical Instructor:\nSupervisory experience in a technical or engineering setting\nProven experience in a relevant working environment\nExperience with electromechanical equipment\nKnowledge of power generation and distribution systems, including single-phase and three-phase systems\nProficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook\nQualifications for the Electrical Instructor:\nHND in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. general electronics and electrical systems)\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
