This is an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, influence strategic decision-making and drive the safe delivery of engineering projects that support national defence and critical infrastructure.\nDay-to-day, you’ll oversee engineering activities from planning and prioritisation through to delivery, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance and programme success. In return, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your leadership capability, work alongside leading engineering professionals and contribute to projects of national importance.\nLeading multidisciplinary engineering teams and suppliers to deliver multiple engineering projects safely, efficiently and on schedule.\nManaging engineering resources, priorities and workload allocation to support programme objectives.\nProviding technical oversight, governance and assurance throughout the engineering and project lifecycles.\nBuilding strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.\nIdentifying, managing and mitigating engineering risks while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.\nThis role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.\nEssential experience of the Engineering Manager\nApplying systems engineering principles throughout the engineering lifecycle.\nDelivering facility design projects and infrastructure upgrade programmes.\nSupporting projects within a nuclear licensed site or similarly regulated environment.\nLeading the delivery of complex engineering, infrastructure or major project activities.\nManaging engineering governance, technical assurance and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.\nQualifications for the Engineering Manager\nEssential:\nDegree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience.\nChartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or evidence of working towards professional registration.\nMembership of a relevant professional institution.\nDesirable:\nChartered Engineer (CEng) status.\nChartered Manager status.\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC)) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
