You'll take ownership of operational performance, champion a strong safety culture, and help develop the next generation of production professionals. If you're passionate about leadership, continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence, and making a meaningful contribution to projects of national importance, this could be the next step in your career.\nDay-to-day, you’ll lead day-to-day structural manufacturing operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll translate business priorities into achievable production plans, coordinate resources effectively, and drive performance across safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.\nThis role offers the opportunity to influence operational excellence while supporting programmes that help protect national security. You'll be empowered to develop people, improve processes, and make a lasting impact within a complex engineering and manufacturing environment.\nLeading daily structural production activities to deliver contractual commitments and production objectives.\nMonitoring performance against safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets, implementing recovery plans where required.\nCoordinating people, materials, equipment, and resources to maximise productivity and operational efficiency.\nChampioning a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.\nDeveloping team capability through coaching, engagement, performance management, and workforce planning activities.\nThis role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.\nEssential experience of the Production Supervisor Structures\nProven experience leading teams within a production, manufacturing, shipbuilding, or heavy engineering environment.\nExtensive experience of structural steel fabrication and welding processes.\nDemonstrable success delivering against safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and production specifications.\nStrong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and people development skills.\nQualifications for the Production Supervisor Structures\nEssential\nONC, HNC, or equivalent engineering qualification.\nTime-served engineering, manufacturing, or production background with significant relevant industry experience.\nDesirable\nIOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.\nILM Level 3/5, CMI, or another recognised leadership qualification.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies, Six Sigma, or ERP systems such as IFS.\nExperience within complex manufacturing, defence, shipbuilding, or multi-disciplined production environments.\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
