You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Type 31 programme, one of the UK's most significant defence projects. Working within our Marine Engineering & Systems business, you'll help ensure complex shipbuilding and engineering activities are successfully planned, controlled and delivered.\nDay-to-day you'll be required to:\nDeveloping and maintaining integrated project schedules using recognised planning methodologies.\nAnalysing project performance, progress, risks and critical path activities to support delivery objectives.\nCollaborating with project managers, engineers and delivery teams to provide planning insight and expertise.\nProducing reports, forecasts and planning data to support informed decision-making across the programme.\nSupporting project controls, governance activities and the wider Project Management Office function.\nThis role is full time, 36hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with onsite presence required as project demands dictate.\nEssential experience of the Project Planner\nDemonstrable knowledge of project planning, scheduling principles and network scheduling techniques.\nExperience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar project planning software.\nUnderstanding of the full project lifecycle within complex programmes or projects.\nExperience working within a project planning, project controls, scheduling or project management environment.\nAbility to analyse project data and communicate planning information effectively to a range of stakeholders.\nQualifications for the Project Planner\nDegree-level qualification or equivalent work experience demonstrating knowledge of project planning principles and practices\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
