If you join us, you can play your part as a Security Operations Manager at Tewkesbury, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.\nThe role\nAs a Security Operations Manager, you'll lead the delivery of a high-performing security function at one of Babcock’s most secure operational facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic security operations, build trusted customer relationships and lead a dedicated team responsible for protecting critical facilities, people and assets. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, customers and project teams, playing a vital role in supporting national security while developing your own leadership and security management career within a growing and innovative business.\nDay-to-day, you’ll be required to:\nLeading the delivery of physical, personnel and contract security operations across the site.\nManaging a team of security professionals, providing leadership, direction and operational oversight.\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with strategic customers and key stakeholders.\nSupporting high-priority business and facilities projects by providing security expertise and guidance.\nEnsuring the site maintains the standards required to meet contractual, regulatory and government security obligations.\n\nThis role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury.\nEssential experience of the Security Operations Manager\nExperience operating within a security, defence, government or similarly regulated environment.\nExperience building trusted relationships with strategic customers and influencing senior stakeholders.\nExperience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced operational environment.\nDirect people management experience alongside leadership within a matrix organisation.\nCommercial awareness and an understanding of contract and business management principles.\nQualifications for the Security Operations Manager\nWe value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
