Additionally, colleagues can contribute directly to a TFSA\nFlexibility in How We Work\nWe offer an agile workplace for several positions\nCompetitive annual vacation time off and additional time off during our holiday closure\nGrowth and recognition\nA comprehensive colleague recognition program and bonus program\nTraining and support for professional development and professional membership dues\nWe encourage you to learn more about Babcock Canada by exploring our website: babcockcanada.com.\nDescription\nIn this role, you will:\nReport to the Combat Systems Function Lead and lead, coordinate, or contribute to the technical delivery of assigned projects.\nBe accountable to Project Managers for delivering assigned projects and tasks safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved estimates.\nCollaborate with Project Managers to develop plans, procedures, proposals, work breakdown structures, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering activities.\nWork within integrated, multidisciplinary teams to deliver combat systems engineering solutions throughout the engineering lifecycle.\nApply systems engineering principles, methodologies, and lifecycle processes to the planning and execution of work.\nApply engineering principles and technical expertise to develop designs, analyses, calculations, specifications, and practical solutions for Babcock products and projects.\nDefine, communicate, monitor, and manage the technical scope of work to ensure delivery meets contractual requirements, customer expectations, and value-for-money objectives.\nPrepare, review, and, where formally delegated, approve combat systems engineering deliverables, technical documentation, policies, and procedures.\nIdentify and implement improvements to engineering processes, practices, tools, and policies supporting Combat Systems work in Canada.\nLead and manage teams of engineers and technologists in the delivery of complex Combat Systems assignments, when assigned.\nMentor engineers and technologists and provide professional engineering supervision and technical guidance within or across project teams.\nEnsure the quality, accuracy, safety, technical integrity, and regulatory compliance of engineering deliverables produced under your supervision.\nPromote a strong safety culture and fulfill assigned occupational health and safety responsibilities, including those associated with direct reports.\nThe ideal candidate brings:\nEight or more years of relevant engineering experience in the defence or marine sector, preferably supporting complex naval platforms.\nIn-depth knowledge of and experience with Combat Systems, including Internal Communications, External Communications, RADAR, and ES/ELINT systems.\nStrong knowledge of systems engineering standards, methodologies, and lifecycle processes used to manage the technical integrity of complex assets within a System-of-Systems framework.\nDemonstrated leadership skills, including experience leading, mentoring, or managing a small technical team.\nAn undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nRegistration as a Professional Engineer British Columbia, or eligibility to obtain registration within 12 months of commencing employment.\nEligible for a Canadian Secret Security Clearance, Controlled Goods and ITAR Clearance.\nFooter\nBabcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
