If you join us, you can play your part as a Weapons Engineering Instructor at HM Naval Base Clyde, near Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute.\nThe role\nAs a Weapons Engineering Instructor, you'll play a vital role in supporting the operational readiness of the Royal Navy’s submarine fleet. Working within a specialist training environment, you'll deliver high-quality training on sonar and tactical weapons systems, helping to ensure personnel have the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to operate and maintain some of the UK's most advanced defence capabilities.\nDay-to-day you'll be required to:\nDeliver specialist Weapons Engineering training focused on sonar and tactical weapons systems.\nReview and updating training materials to ensure content reflects operational and technical developments.\nProvide technical expertise to support course development, system changes and training improvement initiatives.\nComplete training administration, reporting activities and learner records in line with quality standards.\nSupport security compliance activities, audits and the protection of sensitive information and assets.\nThe role is based onsite at HM Naval Base Clyde, Faslane, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.\nEssential experience of the Weapons Engineering Instructor:\nSound knowledge and practical application of submarine Tactical Weapons Engineering Systems, ideally on Astute Class submarines.\nComprehensive knowledge of sonar, integrated communications systems, command systems or weapons engineering disciplines.\nExperience working independently and managing priorities effectively.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.\nQualifications for the Weapons Engineering Instructor:\nFormer Royal Navy Weapons Engineering Watch Keeper.\nDetailed knowledge and understanding of Weapons Engineering equipment.\nStrong information technology skills.\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
