The platform operates primarily on-premise, with one component residing in the cloud. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with engineering leadership experience who can work across infrastructure and application development while balancing reliability for existing customers with the delivery of new features. \nWhat you will do: \nIn this role, you will lead a team of Software and Platform Engineers responsible for the Secure Access application throughout its lifecycle, including its integration with our on-premises and cloud environments. You will set the technical direction, manage priorities and delivery, and mentor engineers across both disciplines. \nRequired Skills: \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience \nAt least three years of direct engineering management experience \nAt least five years of hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or software engineering \nExperience managing virtualized on-premises infrastructure, particularly VMware vSphere/ESXi \nExperience with VDI or remote-access infrastructure \nExperience deploying and operating workloads on a major cloud platform, preferably GCP \nWorking knowledge of Linux administration, containers, and CI/CD pipelines \nAbility to break down a product vision into workable engineering tasks \nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely to nontechnical stakeholders \nNice to Have: \nExperience with networking technologies, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and DNS \nExperience extending or migrating on-premises workloads to GCP \nExperience with automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible \nExperience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments, including FedRAMP, CMMC, or SOC 2 \nKnowledge of identity and access management protocols, including SSO, OIDC, and SAML \nBenefits at Babel Street (just to name a few...) \nHealth Benefits: Babel Street covers 85-100% monthly premium costs for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability insurances - for you and your family! \nRetirement Plans: Babel Street offers both a Traditional and Roth 401(K) with a very competitive match. \nUnlimited Flexible Leave: We trust our employees to manage their own time and balance their personal and work lives. \nHolidays: Babel Street provides employees with 12 paid Federal Holidays \nTuition Reimbursement: We are committed to investing in our employees.
