As a Lead Forklift Operator, you're the most experienced person on the equipment and the one others look to for guidance. You'll keep product moving safely and accurately, train new operators, and help the supervisor run the floor. This is a hands-on leadership role: you stay on the equipment and lead from the floor.\nThe schedule for this role is Friday through Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm at our Fulfillment Center located in Commercial Point, OH.\nAbout Pay\nAt Babylist we believe in competitive starting pay and a clear, structured scale that rewards performance and tenure. You'll always know how your pay grows.\nStarting pay for this role is $25.75 per hour. \nShift Differential\nWeekend shift: additional $1.75 per hour\nHolidays Observed\nThe Fulfillment Center is closed on the following days for the weekend shift in 2026:\nChristmas Day\nNew Year's Day (2027)\nAll shifts receive 4 floating holidays in addition to the holidays observed, so you can celebrate what matters to you the most, whenever that may be.\nWho You Are\nCertified and experienced on multiple lift types: Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Stand-Up Forklift, and Sit-Down Forklift, with 5+ years of hands-on operating experience\nAble to train others on equipment and safety: you've onboarded or coached operators and can explain why a procedure exists, not just what it is\nSafety is non-negotiable, and you hold others to it: you correct unsafe behavior in the moment, respectfully and directly\nAble to run a section of the floor during volume spikes: you prioritize, reassign tasks, and keep outbound on schedule\nComfortable as the link between operators and supervisors: you raise issues early and describe them accurately\nSteady and dependable: your team counts on you to show up and set the pace\nHow You Will Make an Impact\nMove, locate, stack, and count materials across the distribution center using the full range of lift equipment\nLoad and unload trailers safely, keeping outbound on schedule and inbound organized\nTrain new operators on equipment, safety protocols, and zone procedures\nLead pre-shift safety huddles and assign operators to zones and tasks\nComplete pre-shift equipment inspections and make sure maintenance needs are flagged\nSpot and correct hazards, and report incidents and near misses to your supervisor\nSupport inventory accuracy through cycle counts and location checks\nEscalate staffing, equipment, and volume issues to the supervisor before they affect shipments\nPhysical Requirements \n\nStand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks\nWalk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day\nLift and move items up to 20 lbs regularly throughout the shift\nFrequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and repetitive motion\nWho We Are\nAt Babylist, the work our fulfillment teams do reaches millions of families across the country - whether you're on the floor moving product or leading the operation that makes it happen.
