Senior AI Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Applied AI Engineer (iOS) within our central Engineering Ops organization, you will lead the evolution of modern iOS development practices. You will bridge high-level architectural strategy with practical implementation, establishing golden standards and streamlining tooling across R&D.

In this role, you will modernize delivery workflows by bringing iOS onto shared automated release chains and leveraging AI tooling to accelerate framework and app generation.

Role Responsibilities

• Unify Mobile SDLC Pipelines: Spearhead the transition of iOS release workflows to GitHub Actions, aligning mobile deployments directly with frontend and backend release chains.
• Architect Mobile Standards: Define scalable iOS architecture using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit components. Establish firm guidelines around API/ABI stability, framework distribution, security, and accessibility (a11y).
• Apply AI to iOS Delivery: Integrate AI coding assistants, automated tooling, and custom prompt workflows into the development lifecycle to accelerate client-side engineering.
• Guide & Scale R&D Teams: Collaborate with pilot teams and Engineering Ops leads to mentor engineers, demonstrate new practices, and ensure smooth organizational adoption.

Required Qualifications

• iOS Expertise & Concurrency: Deep technical mastery of Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift concurrency (async/await), and modular dependency management (Swift Package Manager / CocoaPods). Experience designing stable Framework APIs/ABIs.
• Production Testing & CI/CD: Demonstrated experience configuring CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions or Xcode Cloud. Strong focus on testable software design, unit testing, and UI test suites.
• Applied AI Capabilities: Demonstrated skill in using LLM workflows, prompt optimization, and AI tooling to accelerate mobile delivery tasks.
• Strategic & Collaborative Approach: Proactive mindset with a big-picture understanding of how mobile infrastructure impacts multi-team ecosystems. Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
