As a Senior Database Engineer (also known as a Senior Performance Engineer or DBA), you'll diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues, ensuring our digital banking platform operates at peak efficiency for our global customers.\nMeet the job: Database performance engineers are a cornerstone of Backbase technology. You'll provide invaluable guidance to our development teams (tribes and squads) in their approach to databases and data design, ensuring our microservices deliver optimum performance. You'll analyze and interpret large volumes of performance data to characterize application behavior while proactively scanning for potential problems. Once an issue or bottleneck is identified, you'll build simulations to test your findings, and upon confirmation, you'll clearly explain it to Technical Architects and guide them towards a solution.
