We’re seeking aProduct Manager, Computer Backup to join our team!\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Product Manager to lead strategy, execution, and growth for Backblaze’s Computer Backup product across consumer and business offerings. This role will own the roadmap for our desktop backup clients, web experiences, and associated admin tools.\nThis is a highly hands-on role on a small, focused team. You will need to make thoughtful decisions about where to invest resources, align stakeholders around clear priorities, and drive progress through influence, collaboration, and conviction. Success in this role requires strong product instincts, data-informed decision making, and the ability to bring cross-functional teams together around a shared vision.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn the end-to-end product lifecycle, defining vision and roadmap, leading discovery, and delivering high-quality features from concept through launch and iteration\nConduct customer and market research, including interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis, to uncover user needs, identify market opportunities, and shape product strategy\nTranslate insights and complex problems into clear product requirements, PRDs, and measurable success criteria\nMake difficult product tradeoff decisions using data-driven analysis, balancing user priorities and technical constraints\nDefine, track, and analyze key product metrics to inform decisions, iterate based on real-world performance and feedback, and drive continuous improvement\nPartner with Engineering, Design, and QA to ship high-quality features on schedule\nCollaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Support to ensure successful product launches and adoption\nRight Fit\n4+ years of product management experience in SaaS, consumer software, or cloud services\nOwnership-first mindset with the ability to take initiative, move quickly, and figure things out\nAbility to communicate clearly at different levels, including engaging with customers and driving alignment with senior stakeholders\nComfort working in ambiguity and making data-informed decisions with imperfect information\nStrong analytical and prioritization skills, with the ability to separate must-haves from nice-to-haves\nProven success in owning product roadmaps, defining MVPs, and driving the full product lifecycle\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\nStrong understanding of product prioritization frameworks and experience building products that deliver measurable value to customers\nExperience working in agile development environments and with tools such as Jira\nBonus Points For\nExperience in backup, security, or storage products\nFamiliarity with SMB workflows, MSP ecosystems, or B2B2C product design\nTechnical fluency with APIs, desktop applications, and cloud services\nBackblaze Perks\nHealthcare for family, including dental and vision\nCompetitive compensation and 401K\nRSU grants for full-time employees\nESPP program\nFlexible vacation policy\nMaternity and paternity leave\nMacBook Pro to use for work, plus a generous stipend to personalize your workstation\nChildcare bonus, human children only\nFertility treatment and support\nLearning and development program\nCommuter benefits\nA culture that supports a healthy work-life balance\nTo provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state.
