Brings energy, meaning, and genuine connection to the work\nFacilitate engaging, play-based experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, movement, collaboration, and learning.\nIncorporate storytelling, art, music, hands-on activities, and social-emotional learning into daily programming.\nCultivate a joyful classroom community where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to participate while contributing positively\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree or higher, completion of at least 48 college units, or passage of a qualifying Instructional Aide examination.\nExperience working with young children in educational, childcare, enrichment, preschool, TK, kindergarten, or community-based settings.\nAbility to build positive relationships with children and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.\nAbility to actively supervise and engage groups of young children while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.\nBasic proficiency with email, Google Workspace, and required program documentation systems.\nSuccessful completion of criminal background clearance, TB clearance, Mandated Reporter certification, and all required trainings.\nAbility to work during after-school hours and commit through the academic school year (hire date through mid-June)\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.\nExperience with play-based learning and early childhood, preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, kindergarten, expanded learning, or childcare programs.\nKnowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 4-6.\nBilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or other languages).\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to stand, sit, kneel, bend, and move throughout the program space for extended periods.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to actively supervise and accompany students during indoor and outdoor activities.\nAbility to maintain active supervision and respond appropriately to the physical and safety needs of young children.\nBACR is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive, equitable, and affirming workplace.
