At Badger Meter, your contributions will ripple far beyond the workplace - creating lasting change for people and the planet.\nWhat You Will Contribute:\nThe Credit and Collection Analyst is primarily responsible for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and resolving account issues that impact payment, order processing, account aging, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with customers and internal department to support timely payments, resolve account discrepancies and maintain accurate account information.\nJob Duties:\nManage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts by reviewing aging and payment history to identify past due accounts that require follow up\nResearch and assist in resolving complex invoice discrepancies, deductions, short payments, pricing disputes, freight claims, and tax-related issues.\nSpot check customer orders for accuracy, verify that the purchase order matches the order for bill to address, ship to address, invoice delivery and dollar totals.\nConfer with clients to verify their financial/credit transactions and resolve disputes.\nEnter invoices online for certain customers.\nSet up new customers in the system and verify address, tax exemption status and invoice delivery.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school degree/GED required\nAssociate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field preferred\n3+ years of related experience preferred\nQualifications:\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required\nExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, or equivalent.\nStrong communication, organization, problems solving and customer service skills\nCompetencies:\nWork Standards: Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.\nInitiating Action: Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive.\nCommunication: Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listen actively to others.\nCollaboration: Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.\nCompetitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:\nCompetitive Pay\n\nAnnual Bonus\n\nEligible for Annual Pay Increases\n\nComprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage\n\n15 days Paid Time Off + 11 Paid Holidays\n\nTwo Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 cents for every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligible compensation.
