In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach, and a final capstone project.\nBadger Meter is hiring an Engineering - Systems Integration Intern who will work under the mentorship of other Systems Integration team members to execute in-depth investigations of returned products. Typical workflow will include sampling failed units, performing root cause analysis, identifying failure trends, and documenting results and actions. This will be an onsite internship at our Milwaukee facility in summer 2027 (40 hours a week).\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:\nAssist in collecting, analyzing, and managing the data collection from returned products\nAssist in test and development of scripts, fixtures, and other automated methods to improve processing of returned products\nDocument test results, create reports and escalating anomalies to more experienced engineers\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to establish an understanding of failure root cause analysis\nGain familiarization with Badger Meter products\nLearn and navigate Badger Meter systems and procedures\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nCurrently pursuing a degree (2 or 3 years complete) in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science or related fields\nExperience with reading, debugging, and writing code in one or more programming languages. Python preferred\nBasic understanding of electronic components and test equipment\nBasic understanding of engineering fundamentals\nBasic understanding of statistical methods\nSound troubleshooting and technical skill set\nDemonstrated strong initiative and motivation- preferred\nDemonstrated ability to effectively solve problems- preferred\nThis internship provides meaningful, project-based work with defined deliverables, hands-on learning opportunities, and ongoing coaching and mentorship.\nAn Equal Opportunity/AffirmativeAction Employer.
