You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nWhat you’ll be doing :\nAs an Assistant Client-Side Construction Project Manager, you’ll support the planning and delivery of manufacturing, assembly or specialist test facility projects on behalf of our aircraft manufacturing business.\nWorking alongside experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to handover, gaining experience across project governance, design management, procurement, construction delivery and stakeholder engagement.\nWe are also keen to hear from candidateswith experience or interest in areas such as infrastructure strategy, digital, information security integration or supply chain programme integration, where there may be opportunities to contribute to wider business initiativesalongside project delivery activities.\nThis role offers an excellent opportunityto develop a career in client-side construction project managementwithin a complexand highly regulated environment.\nCore duties:\nSupport Project Managers in establishing and maintaining project briefs, scopes and delivery plans\nAssist in coordinating project stakeholders, consultants, contractors and end-users throughout the project lifecycle\nHelp manageproject documentation, governance approvals, meeting schedules and reporting requirements\nMonitor programme progress and support the tracking of project milestones, risks, actions and dependencies\nAssist in budget tracking, cost reporting and change controlactivities\nSupport the development of project requirements, option studies and business cases, helping to translate emerging operational needs into deliverable infrastructure solutions\nContribute to the managementof project information, digital delivery and asset data, supporting effective collaboration between project teams, suppliers and business stakeholders\nSupport procurement activities including preparation of scopes, tender documentation and consultant appointments\nParticipate in design reviews, construction inspections and progress meetings\nAssist with the managementof project risks and opportunities, ensuring issues are escalated where required\nSupport commissioning, handover and close-out activities including collection of project records and documentation\nPromote a strongculture of safety, quality and compliance throughout project delivery\nSkill and Qualifications:\nExperience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or project delivery environments\nUnderstanding of project managementprinciplesand delivery processes\nStrongorganisational and planning skills with attention to detail\nGood communication and stakeholder managementabilities\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and project managementsoftware tools\nUnderstanding of construction safety and regulatory requirements would be advantageous\nDegree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, project managementor a related discipline preferred\nWorking towards or interested in professional accreditation (e.g. APM, RICS, CIOB)\nThe Investment Projects Team:\nThe Investment Projects team delivers dedicated construction project managementfor our aircraft manufacturing business, overseeing the procurement and build of specialist facilities for new aircraft production.You will join at an early stage, supporting masterplanning and evolving requirements that drive demand for new buildings.\nAs an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support the delivery of construction projects while developing your project managementexpertise. Working closely with experienced Building Leadsand subject matter experts, you’ll play an activerole in coordinating project activities, engaging stakeholders and helping ensure successful project outcomes.
