You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nWhat you’ll be doing :\nAs a Client-Side Construction Project Manager, you’ll leadthe delivery of construction projects that support our manufacturing, assembly and specialist test operations on behalf of our aircraft manufacturing business.\nYou’ll be responsible for managingproject execution from inception through to handover, coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure agreed scope, cost, programme and quality objectivesare achieved.Operating as part of a wider capital projects team, you’ll contribute to larger strategic programmes while independentlydelivering smaller and medium complexity projects.\nCore duties:\nAct as client representative, ensuring project outputs align with business objectives, user requirements and strategic priorities\nDevelop and manageproject briefs, scope definitions, delivery strategies and success criteria\nProcure and manageconsultants, specialists and contractors as required\nDevelop, monitor and maintain project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are achieved\nManageproject budgets, forecasts and change controlprocesses\nIdentify and manageproject risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies\nCoordinate design development activities, ensuring solutions meet operational, technical and regulatory requirements\nMonitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and programme requirements (e.g. CDM Regs, Permits to Work, etc)\nManageproject governance approvals and provide regular progress reporting to stakeholders\nCoordinate commissioning, handover and project close-out activities\nSkill and Qualifications:\nProvenexperience delivering construction, infrastructure or industrial projects\nDemonstrable project managementexperience across multiple stages of the project lifecycle\nStrongstakeholder engagement and communication skills\nGood knowledge of construction delivery methodologies and building systems\nExperience administering or working within NEC, JCT or equivalent contractual arrangements\nUnderstanding of project controls, including programme, risk, cost and change management\nExperience working with multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams\nStrongdecision-making and problem-solving capability\nCompetence in project managementmethodologies and tools (e.g. MSP, Primavera, APM framework, RIBA Plan of Works)\nDegree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline\nProfessional membership or working towards membership of APM, CIOB, RICS or equivalent\nThe Investment Projects Team:\nThe Investment Projects team delivers dedicated construction project managementfor our aircraft manufacturing business, overseeing the procurement and build of specialist facilities for new aircraft production.You will join at an early stage, supporting masterplanning and evolving requirements that drive demand for new buildings. As a Building Lead, you’ll take responsibility for delivering your ownconstruction projects, working collaboratively with a small, high-performing team and a network of subject matter experts. You’ll coordinate project activities from initiation through to handover, ensuring delivery objectivesare achieved safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
