You will oversee the delivery of mechanical commissioning documentation, ensure testing is carried out safely and compliantly, and work with key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the Submarine programme.\nCore duties:\nLead, develop and managea team of Mechanical Commissioning Engineers, including allocating, delegating and distributing daily tasks\nDeliver the mechanical test and commissioning documentation programme, reviewing and approving documentation to support safe and compliant testing\nAct as the mechanical subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and supporting commissioning activities\nManagechange in line with company policies and procedures, helping develop tools and software to improve document production\nDeputise for the Commissioning Managerwhen required, covering meetings and leadershipresponsibilities\nLiaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations and Engineering, while promoting safety and process compliance\nEssential Skills:\nDegree or HND in an engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience\nExperience leadingteams to deliver complexengineering programmes\nWorking knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and relevant specialist engineering knowledge\nCompetentin IT systems, including Microsoft products, SAP and Teamcenter\nMaritime industry experience and CMI Level 5 qualification or equivalent leadershipexperience\nKnowledge of submarine ship systems and equipment, or experience with transferable systems\nThe Tech Cell Team:\nAs the Mechanical Commissioning Project Leader, you will play a pivotal role throughout the project lifecycle, helping shape the direction of the programme and overseeing the creation and maintenance of commissioning documentation across multiple system boundaries. You’ll have the opportunity to leadand develop a team of up to 10 engineers, support their career progression and contribute to future Submarine projects.
