Employment on a permanent part time basis will also be considered.\nAs the Integration and Test (I&T) Engineering Lead, you will lead a geographically dispersed team of I&T Engineers in supporting the development and delivery of technology and ‘turn-key’ mission critical Defence Radar Systems for our international customers.\nThe role is responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning and execution of activities to integrate product technologies into a unified system capability and for working collaboratively with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to verify system functionality, troubleshoot system failures and resolve system faults.\nThe Program has a strong and high-performing team culture that takes pride in what we do and how we work together, with a lot to offer for those looking to expand their professional skillset. If you’re motivated by solving complex technical challenges, working in a highly collaborative work environment, and contributing to meaningful projects with real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.\nCore Duties:\nLead the planning and execution of Integration and Test (I&T) effort to integrate and functionally verify advanced systems comprised of ICT, bespoke hardware and software product technology\nProvide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to a highly skilled and geographically dispersed I&T engineering team\nEnsure the tactical and strategic demand for I&T engineering capability, covering people, process and tools, is appropriate and aligned with company requirements\nChampion the use of ‘Best Practice’ processes and methods across the Program\nCollaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to support the execution of I&T effort on the Program\nEssential Skills:\nTertiary degree qualification in Engineering or Science satisfying requirements for membership of a recognised professional engineering body\nDemonstrated experience as a qualified engineer, including previous experience in Integration and Test engineering\nExperience developing product designs, participating in design reviews, undertaking design analyses and implementing hardware solutions, including integration, validation and qualification testing\nKnowledge of radar systems and technologies is advantageous, with specific experience in Over the Horizon Radar (OTHR) solutions highly regarded\nEffective communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work within and influence multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams\nWhilst not essential, previous people leadership experience will be highly regarded\nThe High Frequency ( HF) Exports Team\nThe High Frequency Sensing team is part of the BAE Systems Defence Delivery Business Unit and delivers advanced Over The Horizon Radar (OTHR) capability across the full lifecycle, spanning acquisition, sustainment and research and development - with all design wholly undertaken within Australia. It brings together expertise in large and medium scale wide area surveillance systems to support sovereign capability and operational readiness for Australian and international export customers.
