This role offers significant variety, influence, and opportunities for professional growth.\nCore duties:\nManageassigned contracts, acting as ControlAccount Manager(CAM) with responsibility for budget control, forecasting, Estimate at Completion (EAC), and overall financial performance.\nMaintain commercial and contractual compliance, overseeing change management, compensation events, governance activities, and contract administration.\nLeadthe negotiation and implementation of commercial agreements, contract amendments, and settlements to protect business interests and deliver value for money.\nDrive supplier performance, ensuring delivery against contractual commitments, programme milestones, quality standards, and SHErequirements.\nProvide commercial leadershipacross Programme, Engineering, Finance, Project Controls, and Supply Chain teams, while managingrisks, opportunities, and key supplier and stakeholder relationships.\nEssential skills:\nStrongcommercial, contractual and subcontract managementexpertisegained within a complexproject or programme environment.\nDemonstrable experience managinghigh-value contracts, budgets and financial performance, with a strongfocus on cost controland commercial outcomes.\nProvenability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple functions and organisational levels, driving collaboration and effective decision-making.\nHighly developed communication, negotiation and relationship managementskills, with experience managingsupplier performance and resolving commercial challenges.\nThe Major sub Contracts team ontype26:\nYou’ll join a team responsible for the commercial leadershipand delivery of one of the most complexand strategically significant subcontract portfolios within the Clyde shipbuilding programme. Operating at the heart of a major defence programme, the team oversees commercial strategy, supplier performance and ControlAccount Managementactivities, ensuring the successful delivery of critical services.
