You’ll gain exposure to new products, emerging technologies and continuous improvement strategies, with excellent opportunities to broaden your technical experience, influence manufacturing strategy and contribute to the successful delivery of critical capabilities for BAE Systems.\nCore duties:\nDefine, develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes that ensure safe, efficient and compliant product delivery\nCreate and update work instructions, process specifications, routings and operating procedures to support production activities\nResolve manufacturing and technical issues quickly, working closely with production teams to minimise disruption\nConduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve quality, reliability and operational performance\nIdentify and deliver process improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery schedules and cost effectiveness\nSupport new product introduction, capacity planning and the implementation of manufacturing equipment, tooling and fixtures into production environments\nEssential Skills:\nExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation activities within a manufacturing environment\nDemonstrable experience developing, implementing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance operational performance\nExperience creating, maintaining and updating manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications\nKnowledge of structured problem-solving and root cause analysistechniques to support effective issue resolution\nUnderstanding of manufacturing risk assessment and hazard identification, with experience engaging stakeholders across multiple functions and disciplines\nThe Manufacturing Engineering Department:\nSupporting the delivery of advanced aerospace and defence programmes, this team is at the heart of manufacturing innovation and continuous improvement.
