You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nJob Description:\nAs a Case and Bullets Technician, you will be responsible for the operating, setting, preventative maintenance, reactive repair and safe condition of production plant & equipment and the efficient operation of plant and equipment in the manufacture of small arms ammunition.\nCore Duties:\nEnsuring processes are maintained and operated in a safe manner and escalate issues affecting safety within the given production area\nProvisioning of and adherence to dynamic risk assessments for non-standard operations and tasks\nEnsuring that work undertaken adheres to relevant quality standards and provides support in the implementation of quality improvement projects\nOperating of manufacturing processes and facilities to meet production programme requirements (i.e. MMS (Master Manufacturing Schedule), efficiency, utilisation, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness))\nSupporting implementation of continuous improvement activities\nProviding motivation and support to apprentices to ensure development of a sustainable capability\nIdentifying, raising and implementing solutions to safety, quality and production problems\nEssential Skills:\nYou will have a time served apprenticeship in an engineering function (experience in metal forming or turning environment)\nYou will have experience of working within a mechanical environment\nYou will have experience in the setting and operation of Power Presses\nTrained on Press Inspection Course as part of (provision and use of work equipment regulation 1998) to conduct press safety inspection checks\nThe team:\nWould you like to play a key role ensuring the maintenance of equipment in busy manufacturing facility?
