You will leadother engineers in the conduct of assessment and safety case preparation, and provide advice and guidance to other areas of the business, external organisations and regulatory bodies in the compliance with the safety case.\nCore duties:\nHazard identification and analysis\nDeterministic assessment\nProbabilistic assessment\nSupporting ongoing periodic review of safety activities\nSupporting ongoing regulatory discussions with ONR/DNSR\nInterfacing with engineering and human factors substantiation teams\nSupporting junior members of the team to develop SQEP in the business\nEssential Skills:\nSignificant experience of Safety Case development techniques and practices - in Nuclear industry, other high hazard industry backgrounds may be considered\nPostgraduate Diploma in Nuclear Science & Technology (NTEC), or an equivalent qualification\nHold Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with an Engineering Council-registered professional institution, or possess the qualifications and experience required to attain chartership\nThe Site Safety Case team:\nThe site safety case team is currently around 30 strongand is growing and developing as we undertake the Dreadnought, Site Redevelopment Programmes & future submarine platforms both nationally and internationally. We are currently producing cases covering Astute and Dreadnought build and commission and have responsibility for Periodic Review of Safety.
