The rolealso involves ensuring cost-effective area management, applying lean tools and problem-solving techniques, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support sustained operational excellence.\nCore duties:\nEfficiently managingthe operation of manufacturing processes\nTaking responsibility for the safety of employees working within the manufacturing area\nImplementing the SHEpolicy, legislation, and safe systems of work\nLeadingthe delivery of manufacturing KPI’s including quality and cost reporting\nManagingyour team and providing the right support to help them excel and succeed\nEnsuring that the manufacturing area is managedin a cost effective and efficient way\nSupporting and implementing CI activities utilising lean tools & problem-solving technique\nScheduling and supporting maintenance activities within your area\nEssential Skills:\nDemonstrable experience in a Process Engineering position within a manufacturing or engineering environment\nHND or Degree qualification in a relevant discipline would be advantageous\nYou will have demonstratable experience leadinga team, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing environment\nExperience or qualifications in health and safety practices, including IOSH or NEBOSH certification, SAP system experience, and knowledge of COMAH regulations or hazardous environments is advantageous\nThe Manufacturing team:\nProcess Leadersplay a key role in driving performance on the shop floor. They leadand motivate production teams to take ownershipof their areas, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards in line with SOPs, site rules, and regulatory requirements.\nBy aligning day-to-day operations with wider business objectives, Process Leaderschampionsafe working practices, quality excellence, effective people management, waste reduction, and optimal labour use.
