The roleprovides specialist lifecycle, integration and support engineering expertise.\nThis role will give you the opportunity to work on one of the most complexengineering programmes ever undertaken in the country, which will deliver a product of national importance.\nCore duties:\nYou will support engagement with MoD and Royal Navy stakeholders on through life support, integration and sustainment aspects of PMS and associated platform systems.\nLeadand support integration activities between PMS and Reactor ControlSystems including:Liaison with Rolls-Royce and MoD Nuclear Propulsion teams\nEnsuring effective integration at the Centralised ControlConsole.\n\nLiaise with MoD, Babcock, Royal Navy, logistics organisations and industry partners to support the development and maintenance of:Through life support strategies\nSupport concepts, roles and responsibilities\nMaintenance and sustainment arrangements for PMS and related systems.\n\nProvide specialist engineering input to through life support planning ensuring alignment with:DE&S processes and governance\nRN support policy and operational requirements\nObsolescence, configuration managementand long-term supportability considerations.\n\nSupport programme reviews and governance activities related to:System integration readiness\nLifecycle assurance\nTransition from design into in-service support.\n\nIdentify, assess and support the managementof integration and through life support risks associated with PMS and integrated platform systems.\nEssential Skills:\nBEng (Hons), MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline (HND + relevant experience may be considered)\nRelevant sector experience, with full lifecycle experience of large-scale Electrical, Electronic, Controland Instrumentation (C&I) systems\nExperience contributing to supportability activities within complexengineering programmes.\nAbility to review and assess design, equipment, test documentation, and subsequent impact to product availability\nExperience witnessing and assessing supplier testing and reports, with understanding of equipment delivery and acceptance criteria for facility integration\nDemonstrable communication skills, with an understanding of through life support, supportability and lifecycle managementprinciples.\nThe PMS C&I Team:\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Dreadnought programme as a Senior Engineer - Electrical Engineering (Control and Instrumentation). The PMSC&I Team is responsible for the design, integration, assurance and delivery of Controland Instrumentation systems. The team provides specialist engineering support across the system lifecycle, including requirements definition, detailed design, equipment integration, supplier testing, commissioning and assurance. It ensures that Controland Instrumentation systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently, with appropriate monitoring, control, protection and system interfaces.
