You will support Technical Review sessions with teams of engineers to ensure that they have sound engineering plans for the analysisto be undertaken, and will review and approve their analysesas part of the overall product qualification and approval process.\nCore duties:\nCoordinate and supervise team activities\nSchedule work and monitor outputs\nEnsure quality standards are met\nSupport performance managementand development\nGuide Structures Engineers on complexdesign, build, and repair issues\nSupport development of new analysistechniques\nDrive improvements in analysismethods\nEssential Skills:\nPrevious experience managinga team, ideally in an Aerospace industry\nDegree in STEM or equivalent aerospace experience\nExperience in structural engineering, including sizing and fatigue/damage tolerance analysis\nKnowledge of structural analysis, fatigue, and fracture mechanics methods\nExperience with tools such as Nastran, Patran, Hypermesh, Abaqus\nFamiliarity with optimisation, dynamics, vibration, and acoustics analysis\nThe Structures Engineering Team:\nWe support one of the biggest defence programmes in the World and have responsibility for improving the fatigue and fracture capability right across the Air Sector. BAE Systems designs, develops and supports a wide range of airborne platforms, operating across the World in some of the most demanding conditions imaginable.
