You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nWhat you’ll be doing :\nAs a Supportability Engineer, you will influence reliability, maintainability, and supportability across programmes, applying fleet knowledge to current and future designs.\nYou will contribute to design-for-support strategies, define support requirements, and generate and managesupportability outputs across development and in-service phases, using recognised engineering standards and best practices.\nCore duties:\nSupport engineering assessment and apply supportability principles\nAdvise teams on supportability and maintainability considerations\nAssess design and in-service data to inform support strategies\nProduce supportability outputs to international standards\nEnsure design changes and assess impacts on support solutions\nEvaluate safety requirements and impacts on support systems\nEssential Skills:\nHNC/ Degree in Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering or equivalent experience in supportability/maintainability role\nKnowledge of reliability and supportability tools (e.g. LORA, FMECA, LSA, ILS, RCM)\nKnowledge of LCM (Lifecycle Management)\nThe Supportability/Maintainability Team:\nThis team of around 20 spans multiple grades, ensuring supportability design across FCAS and GCAP, with a focus on lifecycle management, working closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders including the MoD, RAF, and international partners.\nWhy BAE Systems?\nHere you’ll build a career with purpose and limitless possibilities.
