Role Description
Essential Requirements
- Broad understanding of IT systems, including software, hardware, networking, and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge in at least one core area: - Networking (routing, switching, firewalls, protocols) - Infrastructure (virtualisation, cloud platforms)
- Experience with: - Monitoring and observability tools - System audit and compliance frameworks - Build pipelines and deployment processes (CI/CD)
- Familiarity with scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) is advantageous.
- Experience integrating systems into complex enterprise or customer environments.
- Understanding of system interoperability, dependencies, and configuration management.
- Exposure to structured engineering or delivery methodologies.
Career Path
This role provides a development pathway toward Systems Engineer or Solution Architect roles.
Typical progression includes:
