The Humanities instructor\nworks in the General Studies department, which forms the first year of a\ntwo-year diploma.\nThe primary role of the Humanities Instructor is to deliver the Humanities\ncurriculum to military students in accordance with all policies and processes\nat the QTI. The role involves teaching and supporting the creation,\nmaintenance, and delivery of Humanities subjects, including Qatar History, Human Rights, and Islamic Culture,to specific standards within the General Studies department.\nThe ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and implement engaging\nlessons based on MoEHE curriculum. They will create an inclusive learning\nenvironment that supports student success while maintaining academic rigor and\nadherence to institutional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate\nstrong communication skills, a commitment to student-centered learning, and the\nability to inspire interest and achievement in the different subjects within Humanities.\nThe role involves engaging in regular feedback meetings with Senior\nInstructors in support of continuous improvement of the instructor’s classes\nand the department as a whole. Taking ownership of their classes and leading by\nexample, the instructor must demonstrate professionalism and flexibility. The\ninstructor must also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional\ndevelopment and continuous improvement initiatives within the QTI.\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in\nresponding to changing priorities, student needs, and organisational\nrequirements. They will work collaboratively with colleagues and military\nstakeholders to support student achievement and departmental objectives,\nfostering positive and productive working relationships across the\norganisation. Such responsibilities\nwill be allocated based on the Instructors/Lecturers qualifications,\nprofessional experience, industry background, demonstrated competence, and\nprevious teaching or training experience.
