We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.\nWe embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.\nRole Description\nThe role combines ICT engineering, system administration, and technical support skills to ensure the reliability, and performance of business-critical systems.\nWorking closely with the ICT Team Lead, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of ICT solutions, maintain operational environments, provide technical support, and deliver high-quality services and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n Core Duties:\nDesign, implement and maintain ICT engineering solutions that support operational and business requirements.\nDeliver ICT projects and assigned technical tasks within agreed schedules and budgets.\nProvide Level 3 Help Desk support in accordance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, including:\nInvestigating, troubleshooting and resolving incidents.\nResponding to and fulfilling service requests.\nEscalating issues where required and ensuring effective resolution.\nMonitor, test and deploy security patches to maintain system security and compliance.\nDeploy software builds and releases across development, testing and production environments.\nMaintain and support ICT infrastructure and associated support environments.\nPerform upgrades and maintenance of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products.\nDevelop, update and maintain accurate ICT design documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.\nLiaise with technology vendors and service providers to investigate and resolve technical issues.\nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with customer and end users.\nIdentify opportunities for and contribute to continuous process and service improvement initiatives.\nOccasionally participating in planned after-hours activities when required, including weekends, early mornings or evenings.\nAbout YOU\nAustralian citizenship and currently hold minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.\nA degree in ICT/ Engineering.\n3-4 years of demonstrated experience in ICT engineering roles\nExperience in implementing ICT infrastructure and system solutions.\nProven ability to deliver technical projects and tasks within defined timelines and budgets.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience providing Level 3 support in a service management environment.\nExperience with software deployment eg.
