You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow - shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space - there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nRole Description:\nThe ILS Engineer is responsible for analysing logistics support data and identifying trends across equipment and systems to support their effective operation and sustainment throughout the Life of Type.\nThe role contributes to the design and development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis outputs, ensuring deliverables align with defined customer and end-user operational requirements.\nThis position requires the application of sound logistics support analysis judgement to develop insights and recommendations that enhance system performance, reliability, and supportability.\nCore Duties:\nPerform project activities, including Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), to inform sustainment strategy and system design\nPerform tasks aligned to relevant ILS skills and program scope requirements\nConduct risk assessments on equipment and systems to identify reliability and supportability issues\nAnalyse LSA data to develop evidence-based conclusions and recommend improvements to system reliability and supportability\nPrepare and deliver reporting documentation in line with agreed schedules and quality standards\nSupport the development of project infrastructure, including tools, metrics, and process improvements\nAbout You\nTertiary qualification in Engineering (degree, diploma, or technical certification) or equivalent industry experience\nProven experience in analysing, reviewing, and reporting technical assessment data related to the mechanical and/or electrical health of systems and equipment\nDemonstrated experience in developing and reviewing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products to support system sustainment and performance\nPractical experience in the operation and maintenance of systems within a defence environment or similar technical industry\nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance.\nThe JORN & A-OTHR Team\nThe Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) is a connected series of three remote over-the-horizon radars (OTHR) located in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
