The IT instructor works in\nthe General Studies department, which forms the first year of a two-year\ndiploma.\nThe primary role of the IT Instructor is to deliver the Information\nTechnology curriculum to military students in accordance with all policies and\nprocesses at the QTI. The role involves teaching and supporting the creation,\nmaintenance, and delivery of Information Technology subjects, including\nMicrosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email Applications, and Microsoft PowerPoint,\nto specific standards within the General Studies department.\nThe ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and implement engaging\nlessons based on MoEHE curriculum. They will create an inclusive learning\nenvironment that supports student success while maintaining academic rigor and\nadherence to institutional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate\nstrong communication skills, a commitment to student-centered learning, and the\nability to inspire interest and achievement in the different subjects within\nInformation Technology.\nThe role involves engaging in regular feedback\nmeetings with Senior Instructors in support of continuous improvement of the\ninstructor’s classes and the department as a whole. Taking ownership of their\nclasses and leading by example, the instructor must demonstrate professionalism\nand flexibility. The instructor must also demonstrate a commitment to\ncontinuous professional development and continuous improvement initiatives\nwithin the QTI.\nThe ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in\nresponding to changing priorities, student needs, and organisational\nrequirements. They will work collaboratively with colleagues and military\nstakeholders to support student achievement and departmental objectives,\nfostering positive and productive working relationships across the\norganisation. The instructor will be agile to meet evolving educational and\norganizational requirements, embracing change and maintaining a proactive\napproach to ensure the continued success of students, the environment.\nRequirements\nQualification/Trade\nKnowledge:\nEssential:\nHolds qualified teacher status or a relevant education and training qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed.,\nM.Ed., MA, BA, Diploma, or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer\nScience, Educational Technology, Digital Skills Training, Education, or a\nrelated field.\n\nRelevant experienceteaching Information Technology subjects to international students in a range\nof contexts.\n\nKnowledge andexperience teaching Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email Applications,\nMicrosoft PowerPoint, and other essential digital literacy or office\nproductivity applications.\n\nDemonstrable softskills across a multi-disciplinary department.\n\nAbility to use a rangeof teaching and administrative technologies.\n\nStrong
