We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance and training, this role is responsible for applying measurement science, mathematics, physics, and engineering theory and principles to design, develop processes and methods for calibrating electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental and/or chemical Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Analyse and solve calibration problems using advanced mathematical and engineering knowledge. Use statistics and uncertainty of measurement to analyse measurement standards and processes. May develop software to assist in calibration laboratory and/or departmental processes. Recommend calibration standards and TMDE. Maintain calibration laboratory and/or quality systems. Perform laboratory and/or departmental administration and management.\nRECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION\nYou will have successfully completed formal training, over a minimum period of 4 years, directed towards the calibration, repair and alignment of either Electrical or Mechanical, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) a knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical calibration would be advantageous.\nGained at least five years practical experience involved in the calibration and repair of Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and RSAF specific TMDE used in the support of military aircraft systems. Must be fully conversant with the requirements of RSAFI 4-7702, MetCal Wing Quality Manual and be familiar with the contents of RSAF Manual 105-8 (Training), RSAF Manual 67-1 (Supply), RSAF Manual 78-series (Safety) and a good understanding of ISO 17025.\nIncumbent requires experienced managerial and engineering judgment, creativity, initiative and leadership skills including a practical knowledge of Metrology.\n\nAn ability to communicate with high level RSAF and BAE Systems personnel both orally and in writing using proper tact, protocol and diplomacy, and to draft technical procedures, reports and technician evaluations as directed.\nMust possess a high standard of personal integrity and fully committed to working to a high standard of ethical behaviour.\nPerformance in this post requires you to be computer literate and an experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, excel, PowerPoint, Access).\nIn this role, you will be expected to be proactive in planning resources to match future tasks, excellent organisational skills, show initiative and establish successful working relationships with the RSAF.\nEXPATRIATE EMPLOYEE BENEFITS\nIn return for the required high levels of commitment and hard work you will receive a competitive salary, rent free accommodation, with access to free recreation facilities, all available within Company secured accommodation.
