You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nCore Duties:\nWorking across the full development lifecycle, including requirements, design, specification, implementation, and acceptance testing\nThe design and implementation/modelling of database tables\nImplementation of database packages using the Structured Query Language (SQL)\nPerformance monitoring and enhancement of an Oracle database, monitoring the Oracle website for updates and engaging with Oracle to request patches as well as Horizon scanning for vulnerabilities\nConfiguring Windows/Linux/RHEL operating systems\nInstall Oracle and crate patches to migrate one version to another. Automation of patching using PowerShell\nEssential Skills:\nYou will have provenexperience administering Oracle Database 19c in Windows Server environments\nYou will understand best practices for user management, roles, and profiles to ensure secure, robust least-privilege access controls\nYou will have hands-onexperience with Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and Patch Set Updates (PSU) including patch assessment, planning and implementing using OPatch\nYou will have experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis\nYou will have systems development lifecycle experience, from design through to testing\nYou will be able to install Oracle and crate patches to migrate one version to another, ideally using PowerShell\nThe Foundation team:\nThis exciting systems & software programme covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support - it is run solely from our Christchurch site for delivery to our customer at various MoD locations.\nWhy BAE Systems?\nHere you’ll build a career with purpose and limitless possibilities.
