You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow - shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nFrom the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space - there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.\nRole Description:\nThe Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for the overall technical objectives of the project, co-ordinate all activities associated with Design Assurance, Systems Engineering and Verification & Validation including tailoring of process as applicable to projects for assigned projects and ensure adequate technical review of all deliverables produced within the Engineering Teams prior to delivery.\nYour experience working in a project environment will hold you in good stead for success. You will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders both internally and externally, providing leadership to a team of engineers spread nationally and ensuring all activities are progressing to schedule.\nCore Duties:\nBe accountable for the overall systems engineering, design assurance and V&V efforts within the assigned project scope\nEnsure that the engineering outputs (i.e. products and services) are fit for purpose, meet requirements and delivered are in accordance with the Company product safety policy\nIdentify and contribute process improvements and recommendations\nProvide engineering oversight, support to capability team members\nProvide engineering support to the PM around planning, scheduling and decision making\nManage and report on applicable project technical metrics to the PM and relevant stakeholders\nAbout You:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, CPEng ideal or eligibility to obtain\nDemonstrated experience working within a project environment, ideally within systems engineering and design assurance\nStrong communication skills to work closely with various key stakeholders both internal and external\nExperience to perform a leadership role within a diverse project team\nThe ability to be proactive to seek information and be self-motivated to manage your own workload efficiently\nDemonstrated experience managing competing priorities and changing schedules whilst ensuring stakeholders are informed and updated regularly\nOpen to frequent intra-state travel for customer and / or team meetings\nWhy BAE Systems?\nHere you’ll build a career with purpose and limitless possibilities.
