You will collaborate closely with systems and test engineers to deliver high-performance, reliable software for complexdefence applications where quality and accuracy are essential.\nThe ideal candidatewill be self-motivated, accountable, and results-focused, with the ability to work independentlywhile adapting to changing business and customer requirements. A flexible approach, willingness to share knowledge, and openness to new technologies and ways of working are key to succeeding in this fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.\nCore duties:\nDesign, develop, and test software solutions for safety-critical aerospace systems, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.\nProduce and implement software requirements and technical designs, supporting the full software development lifecycle.\nConduct functional testing and support system integration, verification, and validation activities, including software-to-hardware integration.\nAdhere to established project processes, quality standards, and software development best practices.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation to support development, testing, and certification activities.\nParticipate in peer reviews, configuration management, and continuous improvement initiativesto ensure software quality and compliance.\nMonitor and report progress accurately, providing regular updates and technical feedback to project teams and leadership.\nCollaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineers to deliver robust and reliable solutions for complexaerospace applications.\nEssential Skills:\nDegree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.\nStrongsoftware engineering background with proficiency in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, C#, or Ada.\nPractical experience developing embedded software, ideally within complexor safety-critical environments.\nGood understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements capture and design through to implementation, testing, and integration.\nAbility to work independently, use initiative, and adapt to changing priorities and evolving requirements.\nThe Typhoon Software Engineering Team:\nJoin a team developing cutting-edgesoftware for the Eurofighter Typhoon, one of the world’s most advanced combat aircraft.
