Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you will apply lessons learned from existing fleets to current and emerging programmes, contributing to structural innovation, fatigue and fracture capability, and airframe performance. This is an opportunity to develop your expertisewhile supporting some of the world’s largest and most advanced defence programmes.\nCore Duties:\nCapture, apply and develop expertisein fatigue, durability and crack growth analysisacross multiple projects\nMonitor industry and academic developments, identifying opportunities to enhance analysismethods\nDrive standardisation of analysisapproaches and adoption of common toolsets\nProvide specialist technical guidance, conduct reviews, and approve analysisactivities\nSupport Structures Engineers with complexdesign, manufacturing, repair and advanced analysischallenges\nEssential Skills:\nDegree in STEM ideally Mechanical or Structural Engineering\nExperience with Finite Element Method (FEM) structural analysisand technique tools such as Nastran, Patran, Hyper mesh, Abaqus\nBackground in Civil engineering or Aerospace\nPrevious experience managinga team, ideally in an Aerospace industry\nFamiliarity with either optimisation, dynamics, vibration or acoustics analysis\nThe Structures Engineering Team:\nWe support one of the biggest defence programmes in the World and have responsibility for improving the fatigue and fracture capability right across the Air Sector.
