Based in Edinburgh Parks, the High Frequency (HF) Exports line of business is developing a software and hardware solution that implements enhanced signal processing capabilities for Over The Horizon Radar (OTHR) technologies for our international customers.\nAs part of the development team, you will play a key role in s ignal processing, radar algorithms and development on Graphic Processing Units (GPU) using ArrayFire.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, fast paced development utilising Agile Kanban or Scrum sprints due to delivery timeframes with plenty of self-research and supported problem solving.\nCore Duties:\nAnalyse, design, develop, maintain, and unit test software applications using C++ and ArrayFire.\nResearch and investigate innovative solutions to radar algorithms, mathematical problems and GPU scaling.\nAssist in the preparation and execution of integration and testing activities.\nDevelop documentation and actively participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical audits.\nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.\nAbout YOU\nTertiary qualification in technology, engineering or similar is required\nStrong working knowledge of C/C++ Programming language (preferably on Linux)\nExperience in ArrayFire (or other GPU libraries) software development highly desirable\nExperience with software development and collaboration tools including Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Git, Qt, Clang-Tidy and Confluence.\nStrong understanding of software design patterns and best practice development methodologies.\nExperience working in Agile teams, with active participation in Scrum ceremonies and sprint-based delivery\nExperience developing and maintaining unit tests.\nRadar experience is advantageous, particularly in OTHR.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.\nDefence security clearance NV1 preferred with ability to satisfy ITAR and export control compliance requirements.\nWhy BAE Systems?\n Here you’ll build a career with purpose and limitless possibilities.
