Working on complexaerospace and defence products, you will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from requirements capture and design through to development, integration, verification and support. Working closely with systems, hardware and test engineers, you will contribute to the development of sophisticated real-world systems that mustperform reliably in demanding operational environments. Your work will directly support capabilities used by military personnel in frontline operations, where quality, performance and reliability are paramount.\nCore duties:\nDesign, develop and test software solutions in accordance with project requirements, quality standards and delivery schedules.\nContribute to the generation of requirements and technical solution design, working closely with systems, hardware and test engineers.\nSupport system integration, verification and testing activities to ensure successful delivery of complexaerospace and defence products.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with project processes, engineering governance and configuration managementrequirements.\nParticipate in peer reviews, provide accurate progress reporting, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.\nEssential Skills:\nDegree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.\nStrongsoftware engineering background with provenexperience in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, C# or Ada.\nPractical experience developing embedded software solutions within a structured engineering environment.\nAn understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements capture and design through to implementation, integration and testing.\nThe Software Engineering Team:\nYou will join a highly skilled, collaborative team responsible for developing mission-critical software for the Eurofighter Typhoon, one of the world’s most advanced combat aircraft.
