You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow - shaping a safer future, for all of us.\nJob Description:\nAs a Test Systems Team Leader, you will be applying a breadth of managementknowledge to ensure design and development processes of test solutions or updates are maintained, resolving complexengineering issues and problems for a range of products such as displays, controlsor mission computers.\nCore duties:\nUnderstanding how to track and report on project cost and schedule using tools such as Jira and Confluence\nManagingthe test equipment integration, analysis, and testing of real-time systems involving multiple technical disciplines (electronic, mechanical, optical, and software)\nIdentifying, resolving and closing issues emerging from various product lifecycle stages in collaboration with leadengineers or team leadsfrom other disciplines\nProviding realistic programme status updates in terms of progress, earned value or time, identifying potential problem areas or opportunities and implementing recovery or exploitation plans where approved\nLiaising with both internal and external stakeholders (managers, leads, customers and suppliers) to ensure requirements are captured and maintained effectively\nCoaching, mentoring and nurturing talent\nEssential Skills:\nExperience working in an engineering environment and managinga multidisciplined engineering team (i.e. hardware, software and systems engineers)\nExtensive experience in engineering lifecycle\nExperience in stakeholder and subcontractor managementand team development\nAbility to engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and sub-contractors\nThe Electronic Systems team:\nAs a Test Systems Team Leader, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplined, integrated project team developing innovative Test Equipment solutions using the latest technology, where we welcome new ideas and approaches and supporting the program, repairs and aftermarket service.\nThis role will provide you with a great opportunityto be part of a diverse and growing team, where ideas and development is encouraged, with opportunities to direct ladder or sidestep into other areas of the BAE Systems organisation.
